T-shirt Design Contest 2022-2023
T-shirt Design Contest 2022-2023
Background
The Auburn University Graduate School holds a welcome event for incoming graduate students twice per academic year, just before the start of fall and spring semesters. Attendees receive an AU Graduate School t-shirt at this event. For the past several years, the design has remained the same.
The AU Graduate School invites all currently enrolled students (enrollment verification required) to submit a creative design for the Graduate School’s annual t-shirt for incoming graduate students. The selected design will be reproduced on a short sleeved t-shirt for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year, and perhaps beyond.
Who can participate?
All currently enrolled students at any level (must provide Banner ID number for verification) can submit ONE original design in the contest.
Submission Process & Requirements
1). Only submissions using the official fonts, logos and colors (CMYK profile) will be considered. Downloads require AU credentials.
>>
Download PDFs with official Auburn University color palette and font families plus AU Graduate School logo files
2). Create a design for the front left chest pocket area and the back of the short-sleeved t-shirt (any color fabric). Downloads require AU credentials.
>>
Download PDF of a t-shirt mockup to show artwork placement
3). Create your own original design that represents Auburn University and graduate education. Successful submissions will include three files – a chest pocket design, a back of shirt design, and the t-shirt mockup showing artwork placement.
4). Designs must not contain profanity, inappropriate language, or suggestive activity or materials unbecoming of the Auburn family.
5).
Upload your original design when completing the online submission form via Qualtrics
. Files must be submitted in vector format, 300 dpi or greater. Student is solely responsible for ensuring file compliance. AU Graduate School will not be held liable for submissions that do not meet these requirements.
6). Complete the form and submit artwork by the submission
deadline of December 15, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. CT
.
7). Agree to the terms and conditions, giving the Graduate School exclusive rights to use the design. Upon form and artwork submission, the Graduate School will own the design and may reproduce the design on t-shirts or other items in the future. Student acknowledges the submitted artwork is an original creation by the submitter and is not subject to copyright. Student also agrees not to submit this design to other design competitions or reproduce this artwork by any other means.
Winner Selection Process
In January 2023, the Graduate School review committee will select the top three designs for a public vote by all currently enrolled graduate students, announced via the AU Graduate School website, social media channels, and the monthly graduate student e-newsletter.
After a two-week online voting period, the winning design will be selected for use on the Graduate School annual t-shirt (starting Fall 2023).
The winner will be notified by AU email to complete waivers and receive prize, which must be picked up in person at Hargis Hall.
Awards and Compensation
The creator of the winning artwork selected through popular vote will be awarded a $200
Behind the Glass
gift card from our generous sponsor after successful submission of final artwork and all required waiver forms.
