Learning and Teaching Difficult History in our Community

Come join us as we learn how to teach the intersecting difficult histories of Muscogee Creek and enslaved people in our community. Guest Indigenous histories scholars Dr. Meredith McCoy and Dr. Nakia Parker and Poarch Creek Indian Nation citizens Mrs. Emily Escobedo and Dr. Deidra Suwannee Dees will lead us in a panel discussion. Then, we will participate in facilitated small group reflection and explore primary source resources for teaching these histories to K-12 students.
