WriteFest

WriteFest

Over four sessions, graduate students will explore habits, skills, and mindsets that support their well-being and productivity while working on long projects, and they will have dedicated time to write alongside peers in a supportive environment. This program is ideal for graduate students who are working on a long writing project, such as a thesis, dissertation, or publication.

Students can participate either in person, in the University Writing Studio (RBD Library 2056), or virtually, and are expected to attend all four sessions. Sessions will be held on the following dates from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.: September 7, September 21, October 5, and October 19.

Participants will attend two hours of standing appointments each week for the entire semester. Attendance can be in-person or virtual. To be eligible for this program, you must have an advisor/professor who is willing to submit a recommendation.

Please complete this application by October 29 to apply for the spring semester.

Writing Groups

Writing Groups

A semester-long writing group can help you maintain a writing routine and progress on your current projects. Participants will check in with their group members and a facilitator to share goals, reflect on progress, and encourage each other. You can specify whether you have already formed a writing group that you’d like to continue with the support of University Writing, or whether you would like to be matched with others across the university.

Please complete this survey by September 10 to register for the program.
